Biography
Currently pursuing her PhD at the University of Cambridge, Shun Huang is dedicated to examining how psychosocial interventions within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services impact young people's well-being. Her research evaluates the effectiveness of interventions not only in terms of diagnostic outcomes but also in addressing broader dimensions of well-being. By exploring the influence of sociodemographic factors, Shun aims to reposition interventions traditionally focused on symptom reduction to encompass holistic measures of well-being, offering more comprehensive support for children and adolescents. With a Master’s in strategic marketing from Imperial College London, Shun brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective to her research, informed by her professional experience in industry and volunteer work with vulnerable youth. These experiences have deepened her understanding of gaps in mental health services and strengthened her commitment to developing innovative, evidence-based solutions. Combining academic expertise with practical insights, Shun aspires to enhance well-being outcomes for young people.
