Ensuring good quality education about palliative and end of life care is a large part of our research and teaching at the University of Cambridge. Our research under this theme seeks to:

  • understand the experiences of medical students as they encounter dying or dead patients during their studies and in clinical interactions.  

  • undertake research to assess how palliative care teaching fits into medical school curricula across the UK, and  

  • Evaluate new developments in palliative care medical education including simulation
