Department of Public Health and Primary Care (PHPC)

During 29-30 January 2026, the University of Cambridge, Primary Care Unit, hosted the Society for Academic and Primary Care (SAPC) South East Conference 2026 (see here for a recap of the day)

The 2026 conference theme, 'Advancing equity in primary care: building healthier communities together', invited researchers, practitioners, and patient and public partners to explore how we collectively address health inequalities and foster inclusive, community-driven care.

The conference was held at Madingley Hall in Cambridge, a stunning setting for learning, collaboration and networking.

Keynote Speakers

We were joined by three outstanding keynote speakers, Professor Frances Mair (Norie Miller Professor of General Practice, University of Glasgow), Professor Daksha Trivedi (Daksha Trivedi, Professor of Applied Health Research, University of Hertfordshire) and Dr Charlotte Paddison (Charlotte Paddison, Senior Fellow, Nuffield Trust).
