Biography

I graduated in Statistics, followed by a PhD in Statistics at the University of Leeds. After completing my PhD, I moved to the University of Leicester for my first postdoc making my first step into career in biostatistics. In that role, I focused on developing a methodology for extrapolating long-term survival using flexible parametric relative survival regression. Our approach involved applying constraints, such as a cure and constant excess hazard, to predict a future survival under uncertainty. In January 2024, I joined Centre for cancer genetic epidemiology working with Prof. Nora Pashayan as a research associate to develop and apply multistate modelling in evaluating screening strategies. My research interests include methodological work in survival modelling and multi-state modelling with a focus on its practical applications.
