Biography
Mohammad Sharif Razai is a clinician, researcher and educator. Dr Razai graduated in medicine from University of Cambridge in 2014, and before that, he completed a BSc in Anatomy and Developmental Biology at University College London. His research interests include primary care, maternal and child health, vaccination, ethnic health inequalities and medical humanities. In 2022, he graduated from Birkbeck University of London with a distinction in MA in Applied Medical Humanities. He was awarded the 2021 John Maddox Prize as an early career researcher by Sense about Science and Nature for his work on racial health inequalities. He was awarded St George's University's excellence in public/civic engagement research award in 2021 for his work to tackle ethnic and societal health disparities and inequalities. In 2020, Dr Razai received an award from Pulse Magazine for his work during the COVID-19 pandemic. He has worked as a doctor in the NHS since 2014.
Research
His research focuses on primary care, vaccination, maternal and child health, artificial intelligence, and ethnic health inequalities. His other academic interests include medical ethics and the medical humanities.
