Meng is currently a postdoctoral research associate in biomedical data science at the Inouye Lab. She previously obtained her PhD through an interdisciplinary program (Laboratory for Imaging Genetics) in Electrical Engineering and Human Genetics at KU Leuven, Belgium. Her doctoral thesis focused on learning biologically meaningful representations in imaging genetics, with applications to craniofacial morphology genetics, under the supervision of Prof. Peter Claes. She received her BSc in Applied Mathematics from DUT, China, and her MSc in Statistics and AI from KU Leuven. Her research interests include machine learning, medical imaging analysis, and statistical genetics. When she’s not decoding data, Meng enjoys a refreshing swim or a calming pilates session.
