Having graduated in Mathematics and completing a PhD in Applied Mathematics (entitled 'Galactic Dynamos') I then undertook research posts in (i) geodynamo theory at Newcastle University and then (ii) geomagnetic data modelling at Leeds University. Moved into industry for a couple of years (working in telecoms), and then joined the CEU as a Data Manager, where I have now lead the Data Management team.
