Biography
Cassie studied for her undergraduate degree in Zoology at University College London before returning to her home town of Cambridge to complete her PhD at the Department of Medicine. After a period as a BHF funded Research Associate in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, Cassie spent 5 years at the National Institute for Health Research Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre (NIHR CBRC) Genomics Core Laboratory before moving back into the University of Cambridge as the Laboratory Manager in the Department of Medical Genetics. Here Cassie set up and managed the main research laboratory and the MRC funded Next Generation Sequencing facility. On moving to the Department of Public Health and Primary Care in 2017, Cassie’s initial role was as the CPRD Business Manager before she took on the additional roles of CRMH Business Manager in 2018 and PCU Operations Manager in 2019.
