We are pleased to share that the Education Select Committee’s report on children’s social care, published earlier this month, includes recommendations informed by work led by Julia Mannes, Robbie Duschinsky and colleagues. Drawing on research from UCL and the COACHES Study at the Primary Care Unit, the Committee cites the consensus statement and recommendations report co-developed by the team. The report highlights the importance of integrated mental health provision and improvements to mental health assessment processes, reflecting key findings from the group’s work.
