Working together with patients, their families and health professionals, we co-design and test new interventions or services to try to improve the quality of life of people living long-term conditions or serious illness. These may, for example, address intractable symptoms or communication needs.

PrimaryBreathe

PrimaryBreathe: a programme to develop and test a primary care intervention for chronic breathlessness underpinned by the Breathing Thinking Functioning model [funded by an NIHR Programme Grant for Applied Health Research].

Improving Primary Palliative Care in Heart Failure (PALCARI)

PALCAR is a programme designed to evaluate a new model of palliative care to achieve better quality of life for people with heart failure living in the community.

Triadic communication in teenagers and young adults with cancer

Triadic communication in teenagers and young adults with cancer. This project funded by the Wellcome Trust is a large codesign qualitative study aiming to develop teaching for healthcare professionals, to improve communication for young people with cancer.
