Biography
Nicole is a research assistant working on the Living Assessments project, funded by Wellcome, exploring issues relating to the integration of health and social care provision for children.
Nicole graduated from the University of Bath with a BSc in Psychology and an MRes in Advanced Quantitative Methods in Social Sciences. For her undergraduate dissertation, she examined the development of peer problems over childhood using the Millennium Cohort Study. For her master’s dissertation, she examined the association between child abuse and later mental health difficulties and GCSE academic attainment using the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children.
Research
Nicole is primarily interested in the mental health difficulties and neurodevelopmental differences of children and young people, particularly those who have experienced early adversity and/or children who are involved in social care. She is interested in using quantitative methods, systematic reviews, and anonymised healthcare records in mental health research.
