Mrs Maida Campbell

Maida is a highly experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist in palliative care with 16 years of practice, she is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centred support. She leads a multidisciplinary team, promoting excellence in care and professional development. Alongside her clinical leadership, she has contributed to research as Deputy Principal Investigator on the CHELSEA II study at her hospital site, helping to advance end-of-life care. Currently an NIHR ARC Research Fellow, she is researching ward-based nurses’ experiences of administering ‘as required’ injectable end-of-life symptom management medications. 

She is also an Advanced Communication Skills Facilitator, equipping healthcare professionals with the confidence and expertise to manage sensitive conversations with patients and families across diverse care settings.
