Biography
Previously, completed an intercalated MClinEd degree, and with an interest in contemporary medical education, conducted a Systematic Review exploring efficacy of Virtual Standardised Patients for Communication Skills Training, later presented at the Association for Simulated Practice in Healthcare (ASPiH) Conference. Further completed a Specialised Foundation Program (with Medical Education focus), working closely with the hospital’s Undergraduate Medicine Team, curating a range of learning opportunities for medical students. During the time, I further led projects exploring Simulation-Based Training for Knee Arthrocentesis (published and presented at the British Association of Clinical Anatomists), and Moulage Simulation for Undergraduate Medical Student Recognition and Management of Acute Dermatological Presentations (presented at the ASPiH Conference) Following this, during my year role as a Clinical Skills and Simulation Fellow, I completed a PgCert in Digital Health exploring adoption and challenges of digital modalities within healthcare. Honing this interest, I was further involved in an audit group exploring a retrospective evaluation of the communicative processes of a teledermatology service in the UK- presented at the British Association of Dermatology conference. Combining interests in Medical Education, Digital Health and Telemedicine, as part of my Academic Clinical Fellowship, I am exploring a project focusing on the use of Video-consultations.
