Biography

I am a Research Associate working on the development of a microsimulation model to compare statin intervention policies for cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk assessment. I hold an MSc in Medical Statistics from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (2017). Following this, I worked for two years at the Cambridge Clinical Trials Unit, contributing to the design and analysis of clinical trials. In 2020, I began my PhD in Cardiovascular Epidemiology in the Department of Experimental Medicine and Immunotherapeutics at the University of Cambridge, which I completed in 2023. My doctoral research focused on blood pressure, arterial stiffness, and cardiovascular risk. After completing my PhD, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Medical University of Innsbruck, Austria, where my research examined the role of carotid intima–media thickness (CCA-IMT) trajectories in CVD risk prediction. I have since returned to the University of Cambridge as a Research Associate.

During my PhD I was a demonstrator and then lecturer for the Biostatistics Initiative, Department of Genetics, Cambridge. Throughout my current role I continue to work as a teaching assistant for Epidemiology and Biostatistics modules on the MPhil in Population Health. I have supervised students on the MPhil in Population Health and Medical students through the Foundations in Evidence Based Practice module.

Research supervision:

I currently supervise a Health Data Science MPhil student's dissertation.
