Background
Ryc joined the Primary Care Unit in 2017, shortly after submitting her PhD in Health Psychology at City, University of London. Her thesis explored the interprofessional collaborative relationships between midwives and health visitors in UK maternity services. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Western Sydney University (Australia), and her MSc in Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Manchester. She has research experience in systematic reviews and qualitative methods. Ryc is working with the Cardiovascular Group on research projects for the Stroke Programme.
Research Interests
Ryc’s current research interests focus on health services improvement in primary care settings, specifically, long-term stroke aftercare and maternity care. In addition, she is interested in the implementation of evidence-based practices in healthcare organisations, and the development and testing of behaviour change interventions for improving health outcomes.
