Background
Lisa is a Clinical Research Fellow in the Cardiovascular Team at the Primary Care Unit, and a GP. She completed her undergraduate medical training at the University of Cambridge in 2004 and worked as a junior doctor in Cambridge and London, returning to do GP training locally. She has an interest in collaborative working to develop primary care services and is the medical director of of the local GP Federation.
Research Interests
Lisa is currently working on the Improving Primary Care after Stroke Programme (IPCAS – https://www.ipcas.phpc.cam.ac.uk). This is a 5 year NIHR-funded programme looking at improving Primary Care services for patients who have had a stroke and their carers, led by Professor Jonathan Mant in collaboration with the University of Leicester.
Teaching
Lisa has a keen interest in medical education. She is a GP trainer and teaches medical students at her practice, and also teaches on the Clinical Communication Skills course for undergraduates.
