Background
Caroline joined the Palliative and End of Life Care Group as a Research Associate in August 2019. Currently, Caroline is part of a team conducting a realist review of the management of complicated grief in primary care and community settings.
Prior to joining Cambridge, Caroline worked at King’s College London in the School of Population Health and Environmental Sciences. At King’s, Caroline’s research included examining the policies and practices concerning clinical research embedded in NHS settings; digital and data technologies in health care; and patient and public involvement efforts in health research.
Caroline was awarded her PhD from The Open University in November 2016. Her doctoral research examined how recovery from grief following bereavement is negotiated in the theory, policy and practice of bereavement care in England, drawing on data from semi-structured interviews with practitioners and bereaved people. Caroline has a BA and MA in Sociology.
