Background
Elena obtained a PhD in Immunology at the University of Barcelona, Spain, and worked for several years on gene regulation on the immune system. In 2015 she completed a MPhil in Epidemiology at Cambridge University.
Research Interests
Elena joined the Cardiovascular Epidemiology Unit in September 2015 to investigate inflammatory pathways that are causally implicated in cardiovascular disease.
