Background
Before joining the Department of Public Health and Primary Care, Sarah managed the BBSRC Doctoral Training Partnerships Programme at Cambridge and worked in various alumni relations, events and fundraising roles. She is a whole animal biologist, having completed her PhD in feeding behaviour in dogfish at Newcastle University and her Postdoc in reproductive isolation in fruit flies at the University of Sheffield. She has completed the PRINCE2 Practitioner certificate in Project Management and the Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management (from the Institute of Leadership and Management).
Research Interests
Sarah manages the NIHR Blood and Transplant Research Unit in Donor Health and Genomics, as well as the NIHR Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre Population and Quantitative Science theme. She also manages aspects of various programmes within the Cardiovascular Epidemiology Unit, as well as data access requests, communications and Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) activities.
