Community nurses, district nurses, care home nurses working in London Boroughs of Harrow and Brent are invited to take part
The Palliative and End of Life Care Group in the Primary Care Unit at the University of Cambridge and St Luke’s Hospice Harrow, London is running a research project to examine general practitioner care of care home residents at end of life. The pandemic has raised a number of issues about end of life care provision in care homes. The project is examining the views of all health and social care professionals involved in and with a view of, general practitioner care of care home residents at end of life.
We are particularly interested in recruiting community nurses / district nurses / care home nurses, especially those with recent experience of providing end of life care for care home residents in the London Boroughs of Harrow and Brent.
Participation involves a one-to-one research interview with Susannah Browne, the researcher, and will be conducted online via Zoom/Teams. This should take no more than 45 minutes and will be recorded. All interviews will be anonymised. Ethics approval for the study has been granted by the Cambridge University Psychology Research Ethics Committee. Participants will receive a £30 Amazon voucher in recognition of their time commitment.
