Title: | Community nurses’ experiences of taking on extended clinical roles in end-of-life care during Covid-19 |
Project Description: | Our qualitative research explores community nurses’ views and experiences of taking on extended roles in end-of-life care during Covid-19 through focus groups with 62-72 participants in total.
Aims: 1) To understand community nurses’ views and experiences of taking on extended clinical roles in end-of-life care during the pandemic; and 2) To identify what has been helpful, unhelpful or requires improvement in these extended roles Our research will address significant gaps in the current evidence base for informing patient-centred care as the UK recovers from the pandemic and clinicians and policy makers plan future models of community healthcare delivery. We will ensure community nurses’ perspectives are represented in the evidence base. Our findings will have considerable potential to inform future service delivery and policy initiatives at national and local levels |
