We primarily use qualitative research methods to explore what is important for patients and carers towards the end of life. Our inequalities theme encompasses our work that aims to understand the experiences of populations unequal access to palliative and end of life care services. Research by our colleagues on informal care seeks to understand the activities of care undertaken within patients’ own homes, most often by family members. Lastly, the multimorbidity theme captures our work exploring the complexity and uncertainty experienced by those living with multiple chronic conditions.
