Title: | Marie Curie ‘Design for Care’ Collaborative |
Project Description: | Marie Curie has commissioned the Palliative and End of Life Care group to undertake a scoping project that comprises:
a) Literature review concerning Experience Based Design and Co-Design in Palliative and End of Life Care, Models of Community Palliative Care for Frailty and Users’ experiences of UK palliative and end of life care services. b) Establishing a national collaborative group, the “Design for Care Collaborative”, comprised of around 35 academics, clinicians, national policy-makers and senior representatives of Marie Curie and a variety of other organisations. This group met for overnight conferences in Cambridge in June and November 2015, with further conferences planned for 2016. It is hoped that further funding will become available for a large-scale project employing the design, clinical, academic and policy expertise within the collaborative to redesign and pilot new models of community palliative care services. |
