Title: | Development and feasibility testing of ‘Buddy Up’: A postnatal physical activity intervention |
Project Description: | Postnatal women’s physical activity levels are lower in comparison to their aged matched peers who do not have children. This project used the behaviour change wheel framework to design intervention components to increase postnatal physical activity. The resulting Buddy Up intervention recruits participants in pairs to be ‘buddies’. The buddies attend three behavioural counselling sessions which aim to build support that they can utilise to increase physical activity levels. A feasibility study of the Buddy Up intervention aims to assess recruitment capability and intervention and data collection procedures. |
