The Primary Care Unit’s Showcase research day took place on 23rd June, bringing together a powerhouse of research, using innovative communication techniques. The day provided insight into current research across our nine groups with a series of short elevator pitches on selected research themes plus strategy presentations from each group. Animation, prezis, live comedy, film, quiz shows and powerpoint as never seen before all featured, providing a window on the Unit’s world class research and teaching, connecting up the Unit and raising our game in terms of communicating our work.
Best Elevator pitch: Palliative and End of Life Care Group
Best Group Strategy presentation: Cambridge Centre for Health Services Research
Best Team Building Project (that would be funded): ‘The Truman Show’

- How to get our research messages out to clinical practice staff and in particular, practice nurses
- Strategies to connect undergraduates better with primary care research
