[completed] Development of WHO Guidance on Palliative Care in Humanitarian Emergencies and crises
A multi-professional working group, led by Dr Eric Krakauer (Harvard University and WHO, Geneva) is developing guidance for the provision of palliative care in humanitarian emergencies. EAPC Taskforce on Palliative Care for Refugees and Migrants
The European Association of Palliative Care (EAPC) has set up a Taskforce on Palliative Care for Refugees and Migrants. Aid when there is ‘nothing left to offer’: A study of ethics and palliative care during international humanitarian action – McMaster University, Canada
The study aims to understand ethical and practical experiences, challenges, and possibilities of humanitarian organizations integrating palliative care into public health emergency responses. It is part of the Elrha’s Research for Health in Humanitarian Crises (R2HC) Programme. The Wellcome Trust and DFID jointly fund the R2HC Programme, with Elrha overseeing its execution and management.

Improved access to Palliative and End of Life Care in Nepal, after the 2015 earthquake
EMMS International funds a body of work on improving access to Palliative and End of Life Care in Nepal. Dr Dan Munday, Consultant in Palliative Medicine and member of the Steering Group of PalCHASE, is one its leads on the ground.
