BHRU’s Ryota Nakamura et al., conducted a study which assessed the effect of Scotland’s multi-buy ban implemented in October 2011. Their findings showed that the ban failed to reduce the amount of alcohol purchased. The research is published in the leading academic journal Addiction, see here for the full publication.
