Dr Rebecca Ward won the ‘Best Oral Abstract’ award for her presentation at the National Primary Care Academic Clinical Fellow Conference on 12/13 April 2018. The conference brought together academic GP trainees, their supervisors, programme leads and the wider academic primary care community.
Becky is a Cambridge GP VTS trainee completing an NIHR funded Academic Clinical Fellowship at the Primary Care Unit and is a GP Registrar at Comberton Surgery.
Becky travelled to Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford to present her research on the long-term follow-up of women with gestational diabetes. This research was a retrospect cohort study undertaking at University of the North Midlands.
Now at the Primary Care Unit with the Prevention Group, Becky is continuing her research into gestational diabetes, currently undertaking a systematic review looking into interventions to prevent development of type 2 diabetes.
