Many organisations are using or considering asymptomatic COVID-19 testing programmes for staff in their workplaces. THIS Institute has launched a new ethical framework and checklist to support organisations to think through whether asymptomatic COVID-19 testing for staff is the right option and to support good organisational decision-making.

The project brought together the findings of a consultation, literature review, and ethical and legal analysis to produce an ethical framework for these kinds of programmes.

Researchers listened to staff at a case study organisation to understand their views and integrated the findings with ethical and legal analysis. The team at THIS Institute hope these timely resources will help organisations as plans to ease lockdown are put into action.
