Cambridge MRC DTP Programme – deadline extended – 18th December 2015
There are three projects available from the Primary Care Unit:
Jonathan Mant – Project title: Screening for atrial fibrillation
Theresa Marteau – Project title: Impact of glass design on consumption of alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks
Stephen Sutton – Project title: Understanding the effects of fear appeals in changing health-related behaviours

Applicants are encouraged to contact prospective supervisors for further information about specific projects before applying.
Applications must be made on the University’s online application form (GradSAF). Click here for a link to the Graduate Admissions webpages (http://www.graduate.study.cam.ac.uk/how-do-i-apply).
In Section A(3) please search for “Cambridge MRC DTP PhD studentships” as the programme of study.
You should select up to two projects – if you select more than one project, please rank them in order of preference. Please do this in Section A(12) of the form.
You need to upload the following documents with your application:
- Personal statement (In not more than 500 words, please set out why you think there is a good fit between your academic/professional aspirations, your chosen project and the MRC doctoral programme at Cambridge), quoting the code number of your chosen research project(s)
- CV
- Transcripts or degree certificates
- English language score report forms (if English is not your first language)
Note: The two referees you list on the application form will be contacted automatically for their references, so please ensure you provide their correct email addresses.
If you wish also to be considered for Gates Funding (non-UK applicants only) or Cambridge Trusts funding (all applicants), please also insert your personal statement to sections B5 and B6 respectively on the GradSAF application form.
