Department of Public Health and Primary Care (PHPC)

On 29-30 January 2026, the Primary Care Unit proudly hosted the Society for Academic Primary Care (SAPC) South East Conference at Madingley Hall. Set within this inspiring venue, the conference brought together researchers, practitioners, medical students, and patient and public partners for two days of learning and collaboration.

We were delighted to welcome three distinguished keynote speakers whose talks set an energising direction for the conference. Their insights sparked rich conversations about equity, community partnership, and the future of primary care.

  • Professor Frances Mair, Norie Miller Professor of General Practice, University of Glasgow
  • Professor Daksha Trivedi, Professor of Applied Health Research, University of Hertfordshire
  • Dr Charlotte Paddison, Senior Fellow, Nuffield Trust
