A glossary for public health assessment

(with special emphasis on terms for public health assessments)

Cambridge MPhils in Epidemiology and Public Health

Most terms in this glossary are important to both practising epidemiologists and public health professionals.
Many of them are used variously by different authors. The definitions offered here are not always the only defensible ones, but together they are designed to constitute an internally coherent and rigorous set.
Sticking to these should help make teaching and learning on these MPhils more coherent and more consistent … and therefore easier for both teachers and students.
