Background
Angela received her BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and Statistics in 1998 and subsequently completed her doctorate in Medical Statistics in 2001 from the University of Lancaster. She carried out post-doctoral research with the MRC Biostatistics Unit, Cambridge 2001-2006 and was appointed in 2006 to University Lecturer in Biostatistics in the Department of Public Health and Primary Care, Cambridge.
Current research interests
(1) Statistical methodological research – The development and application of statistical methods for advancing epidemiological research. Present statistical research includes handling measurement error, missing data problems, multiple imputation, risk prediction and meta-analysis.
(2) Cardiovascular research– currently focused on screening and risk assessment for cardiovascular disease
(3) Epidemiology of adverse pregnancy outcomes
