Silvia is currently a research associate statistician at the Cambridge Centre for Health Services Research. She holds a BSc in Biology and an MSc in Biostatistics. Prior to joining the group she worked on the development of the electronic health records database for rheumatology register in Portugal. During the past two years she has worked on several projects including the Symptom study, the Living with Breathlessness study and secondary analysis using the English Cancer Patient Experience Survey. Currently she works with Dr Yoryos Lyratzopoulos on a project studying the variability in diagnostic activity indicators in primary care. She is also working with Duncan Edwards and Jenny Lund on a project on atrial fibrillation using CPRD. As a member of the CPRD group she shares responsibility for data extraction.
