Jennifer is currently a NIHR clinical lecturer in public health medicine, with a specialist interest in ophthalmic public health and epidemiology. Dr Yip trained in medicine and ophthalmology in London, with further training in epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and at UCL institute of ophthalmology. Her current role is divided between service public health work in the East of England region and academic work at the PHPC.
Dr Yip’s research interests include the prevention of blindness and the role of systemic and socioeconomic risk factors in the aetiology and detection of chronic eye diseases.
