Completed my BA in Biochemistry and MSci in Systems Biology at the University of Cambridge. Currently a PhD student in Statistical Genetics working on the INTERVAL study at PHPC.
Examples of my previous project work in the past include: Machine Learning at UCB Biopharma to predict bioactive compounds, looking for statistical biases in Nanopore sequenced long reads, programming an optimization pipeline for bioinformatic software, working with Alzheimer’s data to predict the age of onset of Alzheimer’s from genetic and environmental factors.
My research interests are working with data and statistics with to study biological phenomenon, I have started my PhD working on the INTERVAL study in October 2016. I’m especially interested in working with genetic data and have an extracurricular interest in Machine Learning algorithms and their applications.
