Ben is currently a MB PhD student here at Cambridge. He is in his fifth year and has started the 3 year research phase before going back to the Clinical School to complete his clinical training.
Ben’s PhD revolves around the use of human genetics to inform drug target discovery and validation. His research is two-fold; one involves the use of large genetic datasets to look for potential variants that may inform drug targeting, the second is looking at the biological mechanisms underpinning confirmed genetic associations through the use of induced human pluripotent stem cells.
