Savita graduated with a BEngg. in Biotechnology from Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology, Bangalore, India in 2008. She then worked with Infosys Technologies Limited, Bangalore as a Software Engineer for 2 years before doing an MSc in Bioinformatics from the University of Edinburgh in 2011. After working as a bioinformatician at the International Health Research Group, Cambridge and at the Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology, India, she joined the CEU as a scientific programmer in December 2016.
At CEU, Savita develops and implements pipelines for the QC and analysis of high dimensional genetic data.
