Visiting the Strangeways site or the East Forvie site?
- The nearest train station is Cambridge (30 mins walk, 10-15 mins by taxi/bus), with 50-60 min connections from Kings Cross and Liverpool St Stations in London – also connections from Birmingham and Norwich
- The nearest bus stop is at the bus station at Addenbrooke’s Hospital and both sites are 5 minute walk from there. Use the Citi 1 or 7 or 13 from either the town centre or train station. Alternatively the Babraham Park and Ride bus runs a service every 10 minutes from the Babraham Car Park to Addenbrooke’s Hospital. There is also a bus stop for the U-Universal and the P-Pedigree bus close to the IPH site. Both buses use the Guided Busway to connect to the station, city centre and beyond.
- The closest airport is Stansted (about 40 mins drive)
Parking at East Forvie or at Strangeways must be booked in advanced due to the limited number of parking spaces. Please contact the group you are visiting to arrange a space.
Paid-for parking is also usually available: for East Forvie, use Car Park 2 near Addenbrookes, a ten minute walk from the building; and for Strangeways use the Babraham Park and Ride car park, a five minute bus ride or ten minute walk from Strangeways.
